Please join us for Feedback Forum. Two changes for this month:

Time: We're starting a bit earlier, at 6:30pm this week.

Place: We are NOT meeting at Rose Tech Ventures this month, instead we'll be having a "summer cookout" of sorts on a rooftop patio at 360 W 43rd St S-5-D. Tell the doorman you're going to S-5-D.

StyleHop.com

Overview
StyleHop provides the fashion industry with a consumer-driven forecasting tool to capture value currently lost in markdowns.  Scalable, fast-turnaround forecasts designed exclusively for the fashion industry will systematically improve merchant-driven demand forecasting leading to lower markdowns and increased profits.

Discussion Points
StyleHop.com is a consumer destination site originally conceived to be our exclusive source of proprietary fashion market research panelists.  Our demand forecasting business has moved in a direction that no longer relies on StyleHop.com for panel building yet we think the website has potential as a standalone business.  What do we do with StyleHop.com?  Big issue is how to give it a chance to survive and grow without being a distraction to the management team.  Do we spin it out?  Who runs it?  Lots of interesting questions and a look under the covers at an early stage company finding its way.

Some potential Options:
1.    Keep managing StyleHop.com internally but as a separate division
2.    Divest business and find a CEO to invest in making it happen for equity
3.    Close it down

NYCE exists to give motivated entrepreneurs at all stages of their careers the opportunity to network, share resources and offer assistance to one another. We currently have about 105 members, with many who are involved in tech or Internet ventures. We meet on the last Monday of each month to socialize, network and examine a specific issue presented by an NYC entrepreneur. If you'd like to join, or if your startup is facing an operational issue that might benefit from feedback from our group, please contact Jonah at denshi at gmail dot com.
